![]() ![]() I found the Apache web site had a LOT of available templates:Īnd, this odfauthors web site had a nice short color templates: So, I think I'm still looking for a decent full book template for a typical WYSIWYG editor for Centos 6. ![]() Given that, the whole point of a template is to not re-invent the wheel. I don't wish to write dry texts - I want them to be alive - and that, it seems to me, takes style as well as content - both being built together - for the right user experience. Nothing wrong with that, but, I need WYSIWYG to be stimulted to continue on a long-term project, constantly improving the look and feel, in addition to the content. For most people, who are all about the content - they 'should' separate content from style. I'm VERY VISUAL, while most people (probably 99.9%), at least in forums, are not. If you notice 'my' Centos forum posts, for example, most have MANY screenshots, edited, annotated, with arrows and circles, etc. they are different than i am in that they're not as visual as I. ![]() So, I'm not dead in the water, but, if there are any authors (or wanna-be authors) out there, I'd appreciate a pointer to your favorite book template.Įveryone is different - and I do understand that many people 'say' you can write a book simply with any text editor (e.g., vi), but. To be sure, I have read all the advice that says to concentrate on the text and not on the template or the tool, e.g.,īut, I, for one, can't think of writing a book in pure text - I think in pictures set to words, which is how I write. Googling, I find this set of templates for Linux ebooks - but I want to self publish a paper book: Using Centos6.3, I suppose I'd use "LibreOffice Writer" version 3.4.5. Publishing details & Dedication & Preface I'm not very organized - nor proficient in word processing tools - so I'd love to start with an existing template, where someone else has thought about organizational stuff such as: I've never written a book - but - I want to write a technical book on how to design a chip. Q: Do you have a recommendation for an existing LibreOffice Writer book template?
